Ancajas TKO’s Kinoshita / Conlan wins / Toussaint beats Mosley Jr.

Pacquiao v Horn 02/07/2017

IBF super-flyweight champion Jerwin Ancajas halted huge underdog Teiru Kinoshita with a peach of a body shot in the seventh round.

Pacquiao protege Ancajas, who is signed to MP Promotions, had worked on damaging Kinoshita’s face before moving his attacks downstairs to good effect.

A picture pefect shot to the ribs ended the argument as Ancajas moves on to a possible unification in the future.

Mick Conlan took out the elusive Jarrett ‘Juarez’ Owen in three rounds to continue his run of knockout victories.

Although Owen never touched the canvas, Conlan was gradually breaking him down and was catching the Aussie with wicked shots to the body.

The referee stepped in to save Owen leaving the Irishman free to enjoy the main event and look forward to his next proposed date of September 22.

Middleweight prospect David Toussaint can now boast an 11-0 record after inflicting a second career loss on ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley Jr.

The southpaw had seemingly done enough through the eight rounds to take a unanimous verdict, although the cards were split when revealed at the end.

Mosley got it 77-75 with one judge who was overuled by two others giving it to Toussaint 77-76.

In the opening contest, Brent Dames shocked headliner Manny Pacquiao’s cousin Jonel Dapidran on points at super lightweight.

Dames edged the battle 58-56 (twice) and 59-55 on the scorecards as Dapidran tasted defeat for only the second time in ten fights.

At bantamweight, undefeated Brock Jarvis improved to 10-0 by dropping Caem Rasmanudin three times in the first round before taking him out.

In another upset, Damien Hooper decisioned former IBO champion Umar Salamov, ending the Russian’s 19-fight winning streak since turning pro.

Hooper scraped through 96-94 with all three officials to record a career-best triumph and take his C.V. to 13-1.
