Floyd Mayweather Jr. seems to be in the shape of his life despite admitting he’s not the same fighter he used to be.
At 40 years of age, Mayweather is preparing for a comeback to the ring against UFC fighter Conor McGregor but seems like he’s never been away when viewing his latest gym post.
‘Money’ will trade blows with McGregor in Las Vegas on August 26 after agreeing to lace them up one more time for a tidy nine-figure paycheck.
In his Instagram post, where Floyd displayed his dazzling skills, the fighter stated: “I know I’m not the same fighter I was 20 years ago, I’m not the same fighter I was 10 years ago.
“As a matter of fact, I’m not the same fighter I was 5 years ago, I’m just an old legend putting in work in 16 oz gloves,” he said.
McGregor is also going through the motions in a bid to sharpen his boxing for what will be his professional debut in the squared circle, and has reportedly been tapping up ex-Manny Pacquiao sparring partners.
‘The Notorious’ will need all the help he can get, according to the bookmakers, who have McGregor a rank outsider to inflict a first defeat on the former pound for pound king.
