Mayweather has called into the L.A training facility in the run-up to the annnouncement of his comeback fight with Conor McGregor, leading Roach to speculate about the possibilty of a second fight with Manny Pacquiao.
“Maybe eventually he will come to the table,” Roach told AAP. “Mayweather has come twice to my gym now – it’s unusual.
“I said ‘do you want to talk about Manny or anything like that?’, and he said ‘no, I just wanted to see the gym’.
“He said ‘I might franchise these around the world’, and I was like ‘oh, ok’.
The multi-time Trainer of the Year added: “I don’t really know what he is up to but he does come to visit from time to time, which is surprising.
“But he’s not a bad guy one on one. Give him a TV camera and maybe that will change.”
Pacquiao was beaten in a drab points decision when the pair met back in May 2015 in what was by far the most lucrative fight of all time.
Both boxers walked away with nine-figure paychecks, whilst Mayweather is due to pick up another against UFC champion McGregor on August 26.
A win for Mayweather could be the spark to the ‘Money’ man into seeking a third massive payday, which has given Roach a slight hope his man will get a chance to avenge his lucrative loss.
