Heavyweight Dereck Chisora rushes to help in London brawl

‘Del Boy’ was filmed separating some men involved in the fight outside a London club, and at one point, was even pushed before tripping to the ground.

In the video below, sent to UK tabloid The Daily Mail, the highly-ranked former British champion looks as though he was being pinned on the floor, although the 33-year-old confirmed to the media source this wasn’t the case.

“The fight had started when we got there, and I went to break it up,” Chisora told The Mail.

“We were going to go to the club, where our friends were waiting for us but didn’t because of everything going on outside.

“I slipped over, I wasn’t being pinned down, and the bouncers didn’t mistreat me at all,” he added.

Chisora was scheduled to fight Robert Helenius in a rematch this summer before the fight was called off due to injury.

Attempts to secure a return with Dillian Whyte have seemingly fallen on deaf ears despite the pair sharing one of the most entertaining UK heavyweight contests of recent memory late last year.

As Whyte pursues a possible challenge against WBC heavyweight title-holder Deontay Wilder for 2017, Chisora is at something of a loose end unless talks can resume with either ‘The Villain’ or big Finn Helenius the next few weeks.
