Daniel Franco progress continues, moved from ICU to ‘regular room’

Stricken fighter Daniel Franco is out of intensive care, according to the latest update from father Al Franco.

Mr. Franco has been regularly keeping the worried boxing fraternity informed since his son was rushed to hospital last week, with this latest post a very encouraging one.

“Good morning, Daniel was moved out of intensive care unit and into a regular room. He’s responding well and is becoming more alert,” said Franco.

“He’s running a fever of 102 this morning. We are waiting for the doctor to show up and update us. I will let you all know as soon as we get more information.”

The previous day, Al had further good news as he stated: “Daniel had his breathing tube removed and is breathing on his own. They added an I.V to his carotid artery in his neck and removed all other I’V’ s.

“He’s progressing well and it’s all thanks to the great doctors and you all. Thank you all for your prayers and financial help. Please continue sharing, praying and whispering his name.

“Thank you all from the Franco Family.”

The Go Fund Me page for Daniel is now standing at $40,000 dollars, an amazing sum considering the family only asked for $1,000 initially.

It’s still early days for Daniel though after suffering what was a very serious injury, to which the full extend of possible recovery isn’t fully understood yet.

More updates will follow in the coming days.
