Alexander Povetkin battles Andrey Rudenko on July 1 in Moscow

The fight will be the main fight of the big night of action organized by World of Boxing promotional company.

The Show will take place at the  Russia Central Concert Hall and Povetkin’s opponent will be Andrey Rudenko from Ukraine.

For Povetkin, the fight versus Rudenko will be the first one in 2017. The previous fight was on December 17 last year in Yekaterinburg, when he knocked out French athlete Johann Duhaupas in round six.

Rudenko, 33, (#9 WBO, #13 WBC and #13 IBF) has been a professional boxer since 2006. During these years he has 33 fights with 31 wins (19 KO’s).

Two of his fights were lost by decision when his opponents were Lucas Browne and Hughie Fury.

Now Rudenko has a streak of seven wins and in his previous fight in Kiev on December 24, 2016, he won against American fighter Jason Bergman.

In the co-feature, there will be a super-lightweight contest between Eduard Troyanovsky and Michele Di Rocco.

The Povetkin vs Rudenko fight will be the main bout of the big boxing show organized by World of Boxing promotion company with more fights added soon.
