Chris Eubank Jr. v Arthur Abraham set for July 15 at SSE Arena on ITV Box Office

Sources close to Abraham revealed some of the details a few days ago, which World Boxing News have had rubberstamped over the weekend.

An official press conference has been set to announce details of the contest, which will be televised live on ITV Box Office next month.

Eubank Jr. won the IBO super-middleweight championship on the same channel when defeating Renold Quinlan in February but has been largely out of the spotlight since.

Having moved up from 160 pounds, Eubank had stated a return to the lower limit was possible, although the 27 year-old has eventually settled on taking on Abraham.

For Abraham, an upturn in form since losing his WBO version to the impressive Gilberto Ramirez has put the veteran back in the title picture and facing Eubank represents a first contest on British shores for the highly-experienced contender.

A veteran of 51 bouts, Abraham, 37, is recognised as one of the main players at 168 but has seen better days and contemplated retirement a year ago before scoring wins over Robert Steiglitz and Tim Robin Lihaug.

Facing Abraham is still a step up for Eubank, who was due to battle Gennady Golovkin in September last year until a disagreement over the contract meant the plug was pulled.

Golovkin went on to stop Kell Brook in five rounds and Eubank then made the trip north eight pounds to the super-middleweight limit.
