Former two-weight world title holder David Haye is almost ready for another assault on the top division, the fighter has announced.
At 35, Haye was two bouts into his comeback before losing out to Tony Bellew in March after suffering a ruptured achilles in the contest.
Surgery and some recovery time later, Haye is closing in on a return to action, although the Londoner has stated his next fight will be without trainer Shane McGuigan.
In a statement released on Saturday, Haye said the following:
A rematch with Bellew remains an option, although Haye may want to feel his way back in before jumping straight back into the ring with the last man to defeat him.
