Joshua v Klitschko II: Cardiff opens up as favourite to host rematch

Joshua and Klitschko shared eleven entertaining rounds at Wembley Stadium last month, with the Briton coming out on top, and the Ukrainian has now exercised his right to a second bout.

Dates in October and December are currently being considered by promoter Eddie Hearn, who has ruled out England’s National Stadium due to the need for an indoor venue.

That’s where the Welsh counterpart comes in as the ground has a fully retractable roof and Betway’s Alan Alger believes this gives the Cardiff arena the edge.

Las Vegas, the boxing capital of the world, could also come into play as Hearn eyes a further improvement to Joshua’s worldwide appeal.

“With Promoter Eddie Hearn considering a number of venues around the world for the AJ-Klitschko rematch, Cardiff and Las Vegas have emerged as the front-runners in the betting.

“A fight under the roof in Cardiff has opened up as the favourite at 6/4, but Las Vegas could play host to another lucrative mega-fight at 7/4,” said Alger.
