IBF welterweight title holder Kell Brook seems to have shed the excess weight gained for his failed bid to dethrone middleweight king Gennady Golovkin.
The Sheffield man lost in five rounds to ‘GGG’ in London last year and was expected to move up to 154 pounds and relinquish his belt at 147.
Following the emergence of American star Errol Spence and speculation Brook would be overhauled should they meet, ‘The Special One’ decided to remain at the lower limit for his mandatory task.
Upon recent evidence, and a video posted by promoter Eddie Hearn, the 30 year-old looks to be in the shape of his life with just under two weeks left until fight night.
Brook headlines his hometown stadium at Sheffield United’s Brammall Lane in what many believe is at the very least a 50-50 fight, possibly edging towards the challenger.
A move to super-welterweight could follow no matter what the outcome on May 27, although Brook has given himself the best chance of victory judging by his physique at Tuesday’s workout.
