Murata told local reporters: “I’m grateful for the opportunity to fight for the middleweight crown. I expect a very tough fight but I want to leave everything out there and return the blessing of having won an Olympic gold medal.”
N’Dam is the WBA 160 lbs Interim champion, since last December after a spectacular KO 1 over Alfonso Blanco. His record is 35-2, 21 KO’s, while Murata has a history of a gold medal won in London 2012 and 12 undefeated fights with 9 KO’s.
