Hamburg boxing promoter Erol Ceylan, head of EC Boxing, will host a very special boxing event at the Barclaycard Arena on 19 May.
“We will present up to six high-class fights for international titles. The interior of the arena will be transformed into an exclusive dinner banquet with more than 60 tables, plus spectacular show acts are planned,” stated Ceylan.
On the ground floor of the Europa Passage in Hamburg. Ceylan told press the main battle will be the unbeaten ECB fighter Mario Daser is (12-0, 5 KO) from München against thBritonen Ola Afolabi (22 wins, 11 of them by Ko, 5 losses and 4 draws).
Afolabi is a former opponent of Marco Huck through four contests and this bout involves an IBO International version of the cruiserweight title.
Mario Daser is confident of victory: “I do not need further development struggles. After a win against Afolabi, I will be within reach of a world championship fight. This is an opportunity I will take.
The EC boxing heavyweight Christian Hammer will also fight on the bill and wants to deliver just a taste of his skills. He will defend his European title of WBO Association and hope to push for a world title fight.
“We will undertake a boxer from the world rankings for him. Negotiations are already underway,” said the ECB chief Ceylan on who Hammer may face.
Hamburg’s local hero and EC Boxing’s new signing Sebastian Formella, still unbeaten in 14 professional fights (8 KOs), fights Dennis Krieger, whilst light heavyweights Igor Mikhalkin (19 wins, 9 KOs / 1 loss) and Karo Murat (30 Sige, 19 KOs / 3 losses / 1 draw) are on the card.
Murat will defend his WBA Intercontinental title.
