Acosta stops Uutoni, moves on to Tanaka WBO title shot

Entering the ring with determination, courage and the world title shot in mind; unbeaten rising Puerto Rican power puncher Angel ‘Tito’ Acosta improved his record to 16-0, 16KO’s and winning his shot for the WBO world title by defeating the #1 ranked Jafet ‘The Lion’ Uutoni with a TKO at 1:01 of round 10.

Acosta showed his power landing bomb after bombs over the Namibian Jafet Uutoni.

With an awkward style, ‘The Lion’ Uutoni came into the fight to leave it all and overcoming difficult moments to overcome Acosta game plan, “he was really tough, I never expect him to be like that, he caught me with some good shots but didn’t hurt me,” he said.

“Acosta looked great, tonight. Now we are working on details with Kosei Tanaka’s promoter to make the fight happen during the next 90 days,” said promoter and business man Hector H. Soto. Angel ‘Tito’Acosta will now challenge the WBO world mini flyweight champion during the next 90 days.

In other televise results; top prospect Danilieto Zorrilla showed he’s learned lessons at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles when he delivered some vicious combinations and a devastating body shot that annihilate Onyx Curras in the very first round.

World title contender Janiel Rivera improved his record to 15-2-3, 9KO’s when he defeated Juan Guzman by KO in round 2.
