WHO’S THE TOP DOG AT HEAVYWEIGHT?

Wilder’s back on Feb. 25 vs. Washington; Joshua vs. Klitschko on April 29; Parker vs. Fury, (Hughie that is) in late spring.

Ortiz is looking to make good following his ho-hum performance vs. Malik Scott. The other Fury, Tyson, is looking for a fight (possibly this year).

With all the Top Dogs in action soon, CompuBox ranks them in Ten statistical categories.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Like all punchers, Joshua’s offense is his defense. Joshua’s opponents landed just 15% of their total punches (half the CompuBox avg..); 20.7% of their power punches & just 6.1 punches per round, 65% fewer than the CompuBox avg.

In fact, the opponents of all six listed fighters landed half the CompuBox Avg. for Total Punches. Wilder’s #1 in total (43.7%) & power connect pct. (57.2%- 20% higher than C’box avg.). Wilder nearly doubled the C’box avg. for jabs landed per round.

Klitschko opponents landed just 5.4 punches per round. Ortiz opponents landed 37.8% of their power shots. Fury’s the busiest (when he was active) with 54.1 thrown per round. Parker landed just 22% of his total punches.
