Floyd Mayweather, boxing’s king of the last 20 years, is a best-priced 1/7 on to win a McGregor fight in 2017, meaning any punter would have to bet $700 just to win back $100 for his trouble.
So, the big question WBN asked was, would you fork out your hard-earned cash to watch ‘MayMc’ in a cross-codes battle?
The results of the poll were as follows; YES 60% and NO 40%
The fight is widely thought to be impossible to make due to McGregor’s ties to UFC and Mayweather’s unwillingness to step out of retirement, although the results from the fans polled proved to be positive.
Whether the circus of the event has people interested, or the want to see what McGregor has to offer the sport – all seems academic as the cross-codes battle seems destined to be one of those media frenzies that fizzled out quickly.
