Tony Bellew in scathing TV response to David Haye message

The 33 year-old moves up to heavyweight on March 4 in an attempt to end a feud with Haye at The O2 Arena in London, following the Liverpudlian’s superb title win and subsequent defence in 2016.

After being played a clip of Haye out in Miami where the former two-weight ruler is currently training, Bellew came back firing on all cylinders when asked for a reply to the Londoner’s words by the presenters of the show.

“I’m the one living clean, you’re the one sunbathing and posing every five minutes like you’re trying to get ready for some sort of Baywatch shoot,” Bellew said.

“Do us all a favour, put your top back on and go and train.

“Go and do something productive you idiot, clown, Hayefaker, my little toe’s still hurting.”

Bellew has made no secret of the fact he’s been unimpressed by Haye’s two comeback opponent following wins over firstly Mark de Mori and then Arnold Gjergjaj in the first half of last year.

Prior to that, Haye, 36, had been out of action for almost four years, having defeated Dereck Chisora at Upton Park in the summer of 2012 on the back of losing his defining night to Wladimir Klitschko and publicly blaming an injured toe.
