As talk surrounds a possible cross-codes clash with Floyd Mayweather, Conor McGregor is using his status as a worldwide star to ‘take the mickey’ out of his dreams of taking on the former pound for pound king.
The UFC champion stars in a new campaign for the Pegasus World Cup Invitational – the richest horse race in history and jokes of becoming the best jockey on the planet in a hilarious ad.
McGregor shares the spotlight with Hollywood actor and screen veteran John Lovitz, which culminates in the pair shouting expletives at each other – a trademark of the outspoken Irishman.
Pegasus posted their latest clip on YouTube this Wednesday with the accompanying tagline:
“Conor McGregor’s got a big announcement. Seeking a new challenge, he proclaims to the press that he will win the Pegasus World Cup Invitational. Will Conor become a world-class jockey with the help of his trainer Jon Lovitz? Could he win the biggest ever purse in race history, 12 million dollars? Watch The 13th Jockey to find out.”
‘The Notorious’ has well and truly broken into the mainstream since carrying two massive pay-per-view events against Nate Diaz last year, although any chances of a meeting with Mayweather seem remote as things currently stand.
