Breazeale faces Szpilka on Alabama undercard, targets Wilder WBC shot

The ‘Bronze Bomber’ faces Andrzej Wawrzyk on February 25 in the fifth defence of his belt, whilst Breazeale will battle ex-Wilder foe Artur Szpilka in the co-feature at Legacy Arena.

Wilder blasted Pole Szpilka out in one of the KO’s of 2016 back in January and Breazeale will be hoping to do likewise after losing his first world title shot to Briton Anthony Joshua in the summer.

On Breazeale’s Instagram, it stated: It’s official!!! Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale will be returning to the ring on February 25th in Birmingham, Alabama.

Breazeale’s opponent will be the crafty Artur Szpilka (20-2, 15 KO’s) and the bout will be televised as the co-main event on the Premier Boxing Champions series on Fox.

“I am truly excited to be returning to the ring. After my last bout with Anthony Joshua, I have been just patiently waiting to get back in the ring and work my way back to another shot at the title. My first step in getting there is by beating Artur Szpilka impressively.

“I’m the co main-event on WBC World Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder’s card and I want him to know that I want a crack at that title. What a better way to show him then in person. Alabama has great fans and I can’t wait to put on a show for them.”
