Laila Ali appeals for children’s charity ahead of 39th birthday

As fun as that may seem, it meant no cupcake breaks at school and no celebrating with my friends. It seems small looking back on it now, but it really meant something to me then.

But now I think about the many children that for them—a birthday is not a given. Like for the 2.6 million children living with HIV around the world, only half of whom have access to the treatment they need to survive. For them, a birthday is a really big deal no matter the circumstances.

This is why I am inspired this year to dedicate my birthday to Keep a Child Alive (KCA), an amazing organization providing holistic HIV care to children and their families in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, South Africa, and India. These are countries hardest hit by the epidemic. Through KCA, children are gaining access to life-saving treatment, emotional support, and the skills they need to thrive no matter what their status is.

Join me by making a donation now – $10, $25, $50, $100 $250 or more will help!!!

100% of your gift will go toward supporting children in need. Together, we can close the treatment gap and work toward the end of AIDS. Thank you so much for standing with me as I turn 39!!

Big hugs,

Laila
