Carl Frampton takes early lead in 2016 Fighter of the Year voting

The former super-bantamweight king, who now reigns at featherweight, defeated Scott Quigg and Leo Santa Cruz in a stellar year for the 29 year-old.

Frampton holds 36% of the vote after day one, whilst super-featherweight master Vasyl Lomachenko lies in second place on 20%.

Potential future opponents Terence Crawford and Manny Pacquiao are next, whilst Andre Ward and Roman Gonzalez have some catching up to do in the early stages.
