Jose Miguel Borrego signs with Al Haymon

Borrego trains under the tutelage of experienced coaches Ricardo Cummings and Helder Medina Olivares, who since 12 years of Borrego age has lead the career of the sensational prospect based in Aguas Calientes, Mexico.

Recently, on November 18, at the IV Centenario Arena in Aguascalientes, Borrego won the vacant WBC Youth Silver title decisively defeating Oscar Gutierrez in the second round via TKO.

“This guy at such a young age and has the tools to become a strong candidate to enter the rankings within 140 pounds. He can also be the next Mexican boxing star,” says Cummings

“We are pleased to have Al Haymon as Adviser we believe that Borrego, from now on will have the necessary exposure in United States, so the boxing fans around the world can observe all the talent and potential that this boy projects,”explained his coach.

The fighter is also part of the PROBOX Management team run by Garry Jonas. The PROBOX executive Jonas has consistently worked to obtain the permits and legal documentation for the young Mexican fighter to make his debut in United States very soon.

“I was able to watch José Miguel Borrego in his last fight in Mexico, and we are convinced that he is one of the greatest talents we have in our team. His youth and maturity, plus the right training for a high performance athlete, are a constant in PROBOX Management and that is what Borrego receives from us” said Jonas

“We’re in no hurry. I think signing with Al Haymon is one of the best opportunities we can offer a young man like Borrego. We are satisfied with the work that Haymon has done with other members of PROBOX and we know that Borrego will receive the same treatment in PBC they have given to other PROBOX boxers,” concluded Jonas
