WBA ‘Super’, IBO, WBC and IBF title holder Gennady Golovkin will face Danny Jacobs on March 18 after both sides finally thrashed out a deal.
The 34 year-old pound for pound star meets the WBA’s ‘Regular’ champion in Jacobs in what will be the Kazakh’s toughest test to date.
Jacobs was mandated to fight ‘GGG’ earlier this year, although both sides struggled initially to agree terms leading to Golovkin fighting Kell Brook in the UK instead.
A fifth round stoppage later and Golovkin puts his astonishing 36-0 record on the line against another big hitter in the American.

Like Golovkin, Jacobs has only failed to halt three of his victims through 32 victories, with one solitary defeat to Dmitry Pirog way back in the summer of 2010.
The pair will go head-to-head at the world famous Madison Square Garden in New York City on HBO Pay-Per-View.
Undercard details are to be revealed in the coming weeks.
