World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman has been unanimously re-elected as World Boxing Council President for the term 2016-2020.
At the WBC’s 54th annual Convention at the Diplomat and Spa Hotel,Mauricio’s re-election was formally proposed by Vice President Rex Walker, who said no one could be doing a better and finer job.
Mauricio proposed that the current Board of Governors, who have helped him so much, be re-elected, this was voted and so the continuity will carry on.
Mauricio said the last three years, following the death of his Beloved Father Don Jose- WBC Lifetime President, have a extraordinary journey, which have taught him so much.

He said: “I take this appointment as President of the WBC as a great pride and I vow I will do my absolute best with the support of Christiane, our Kids, the WBC Board of Governors as well as all of the promoters, managers and fighters, Ring Officials and members of the Media.
