It’s been no secret Haye has chosen his angle for the fight, taking place on March 4 in London, by nicknaming his foe as Tony ‘The Bellend’ Bellew.
Burton knew this, therefore briefed Haye pre-interview not to say that word as they were live on Sky Sports News HQ.
Whether it was a genuine mistake or not, Haye duly called Bellew a ‘Bellend’ and Burton began profusely apologizing to the viewers.
As Haye attempted to say sorry himself, a red-faced Burton then told him to ‘get out of here’ in a comical moment that the fighter saw the funny side of.

The press conference was also full of incident, as Haye argued with Bellew and promoter Eddie Hearn as well as throwing a short left hook at the Liverpudlian following promises of a certain knockout next spring.
Bellew was his usual animated self and will be pleased to have gotten under Haye’s skin sufficiently to warrant a physical response that will only help further with interest in the contest.
