Former Central Area Champion Kieran Farrell is excited ahead of his third show as a promoter this Friday evening at Bowlers Arena.

Friday evening’s show features four fighters trained and managed by Farrell which is an unprecedented move in itself as the Heywood man weighed in on what it’s like to train, manage and promote a fighter.

“It’s a lot of work but it’s work I love to do! My hands are going to need a few weeks off after this show with the amount of pad work I’ve done with the lads!

“I’d rather be in a tracksuit in the corner than in a suit as a promoter. That’s the type of person I am. I love boxing and helping the lads achieve their goals is my main motivation.”

Friday see’s Farrell’s charges Reece Macmillan, Lee Clayton, Danny Craven and George Brennan all box on the Farrell promoted show. The former English Lightweight title challenger opened up on all of the fighters on the show and what can be expected from them on fight night.

“Reece Macmillan has really worked hard ahead of this fight. He’s got a young family and works full time so it’s not always easy to fit training in no matter who the fighter is. Reece has put the time in and I’m confident everyone in attendance is going to see the best Reece Macmillan to date!

“Lee Clayton will make his BBBofC debut. He’s one of the hardest workers I’ve seen he really is dedicated. He’s a really popular lad and he’ll be as motivated as you could possibly could be to show off his improvements on Friday evening.

“Danny Craven makes his debut and this really excites me. ‘Taz’ was on the GB squads, he’s a superb talent. Danny can go as far as he wants in this sport. He’s mixed it in sparring with Anthony Crolla so that should really show the level Danny is. He’s an excellent prospect.

“George Brennan is a quality operator. He put in a good performance on his debut and I’m expecting an even better one come Friday evening. He’s got that Hatton style that Boxing fans love so anyone who’s bought a ticket to see George won’t be disappointed.”

Tickets for the show on Friday evening at Bowlers Arena are still available directly from Kieran Farrell, from all the fighters on the bill or by who can be contacted via social media or at The People’s Gym in Heywood (Greater Manchester). Tickets start as low as £20 for an evening which will see 8 contests overall.
