McCrory, a regular fixture on the channel since the early days, is now seeking opportunities elsewhere following more than a quarter of a century airing views with his tender Geordie accent.
Fans have reacted with dismay as McCrory confirmed the news via his social media on Saturday night two months on from rumours his contract was not being extended.
A former sparring partner of Mike Tyson, McCrory, 52, claimed cruiserweight title glory in 1989 before surrendering the belt a year later.
