Exclusive: Zlaticanin delighted with Garcia fight, eyes defining victory on Frampton v Santa Cruz II

The 32 year-old, who boasts a 22-0 record, gets the opportunity to co-feature at the MGM Grand as the back-up to Carl Frampton’s massive world title rematch at featherweight opposite Leo Santa Cruz.

Zlaticanin makes thdefense defence of his championship, claimed due to an injury to then title holder Jorge Linares and with a third round knockout of Franklin Mamani, bidding to prove he belongs at world level.

“Fighting at MGM Grand is a dream of every fighter and I’m very excited about that,” Zlaticanin exclusively told World Boxing News before the 135 pound ruler was asked how he felt to be the underdog in the fight.

“I feel excellent and I like a fights when I’m the underdog, that motivates me to show everyone they’re wrong.

“Mikey Garcia is very good and dangerous fighter, but I can say the same for myself.

“This will be a very exciting fight and I assure everyone that I can finish this fight with one single punch,” he added.

The card is set to be official announced imminently, but with two world title fights already, the event is already an eye-catching one to begin the new boxing calender year with a bang.
