Top heavyweight contender and former WBA champion Lucas Browne has informed WBN of his disinterest in any imminent clash with British title holder Dillian Whyte.
Browne, who is awaiting news of a WBA title shot for his next outing, has been called out and insulted by Whyte on social media but is not remotely interested in entertaining Londoner until he fully earns his chance.
“Dillian Whyte is an absolute dick who’s trying for a payday. I’m fighting for the WBA title and he’s not even ranked,” Browne exclusively told World Boxing News.
“He’s been calling me a tattooed penis and a big baby but Whyte’s just acting childish on social media. How can he call anybody names when he still has 20-0 on his Twitter bio and refuses to take the loss from Joshua, which in my view is his only claim to fame.”

Manager Matt Clark echoed Browne dismissal by adding: “Dillian Whyte has literally nothing we are interested in. Lucas’ next fight will be for the WBA title and Whyte isn’t in the picture at all.
“Saying that, I wasn’t particularly impressed with his last win, to be honest – but I suppose he’s climbing the ranks and looking to gain notoriety through calling Lucas out,” he said.
Fres Oquendo and David Haye have both been mentioned as possible opponents to face Browne next, although the former is the only approved challenger right now unless something drastically changes with the WBA.
