The official weigh-in for Saturday’s EC Hamburg Christian Hammer v Erkan Teper show brought no surprises.
All are in top shape. So we can go for it,” says EC Boxing CEO Erol Ceylan, who organized together with the Stuttgarter Z! Promotions.
Four ranked heavyweights take part in the show with Christian Hammer (117 kg – 257lbs) participating in a WBO European title fight against unbeaten Erkan Teper (120.5kg – 265lbs).
“I want the big fights now. I will not stop until I beat Erkan Teper,”says Hammer, who has already defeated his opponent in the amateurs.
To the IBF International title and Adrian Granat, from Malmo in Sweden, scaled 112.4 kg (247lbs) as the big man readies to battle 28 year-old Franz Rill (120.5 kg – 265lbs) of Z! Promotion.
“With my new trainer Torsten Schmitz I am further improved. I’m going to prove that,”says a confident Rill, but Adrian Granat, of course, has a very different view.
“This is my first big challenge as a professional. I am in good shape, which Rill is going to feel. I head towards that title and he will not stop me.”
