Dominic Babineau aims for 6-0 this weekend in New Brunswick

Babineau will go six rounds or less with Cristian Rodrigo Gonzalez (7-8-0, 5KOs) of Don Torcuato, Argentina, in an intriguing matchup of young, exciting boxers. Babineau, known as the Dominator to his fans, is coming off an exciting KO1 win over cross-country rival Keegan Oliver (1-1-1) of Calgary, handing the Albertan his first loss as a professional fighter.

Recently, Babineau issued a few statements for the press regarding his upcoming clash with Gonzelez.

On Cristian Rodrigo Gonzalez:

“I think that he’s a young guy who is very hungry to fight. He looks like he has fun in the ring. I believe we will make for a good fight.”

On fighting at the Aitken Centre:

“What an experience it was last time! I don’t think anybody expected that kind of energy. I sure didn’t. I can’t wait to get the chance to be in front of that amazing crowd again. Thanks to L-Jack Promotions for making it happen.”

On local support:

“I’m getting lots of local support. My community has always been behind me, even back when I was a young amateur coming up. It’s nice being from a little town where everyone knows each other and everyone supports one another. They always have my back and I always have Richiboucto Village in my heart.”
