The Kolding boxer, who won the European Super Featherweight title in 1999, is predicting a tough night for his namesake, but believes ‘The Menace’ has the ability to emulate his success and be crowned European king.

‘’Dennis is a smart, fast and technically very skilled fighter. He is definitely one of the best boxers in Denmark, and I believe he has what it takes to become European Champion,’’ says Holbaek.

‘’It meant a lot to me to win the European title. It’s a special kind of excitement to stand in the ring before such as big fight, and an exceptional achievement to win, as while there are many World titles, there can be only one European Champion.

‘’It will be a tough night for Dennis. His opponent has the advantage of having undergone several title fights, whereas this is Dennis’ first, and that kind of experience can be invaluable in a fight like this.

‘’But I believe Dennis will rise to the occasion, and this fight will only make him better. If he wins, the sky is the limit for him, and it will prove he is ready to face the very best.’’

Dennis Ceylan’s European title fight with Ryan Walsh tops a blockbuster bill at the Arena Nord in Frederikshavn on October 15. Rashid Kassem faces his toughest career test against British boxer Joe Murray, Abdul Khattab takes on Bartlomiej Grafka, Dina Thorslund faces Oksana Romanova, and professional debutant Mikkel Nielsen meets Andrei Dolhozhyieu.

Tickets are available online via www.arenanord.dk or by calling (+45) 96201050. All the action will be shown live on Viaplay Fighting. For more information, please visit
