‘Monster Brawl III’ heads to Melrose Memorial Hall on Oct 15

This will be Murphys Boxing’s 3rd installment of the yearly October fight card and there 5th time at the always popular Melrose Memorial Hall venue.

Undefeated #7 ranked Super Bantamweight in the world, TJ “The Power” Doheny (15-0 11KOs) looks to defend his PABA title when he fights the main event. TJ is coming off a 6th round TKO over Gerardo Marin Hernandez in March of this year. TJ fighting in the U.S. for the 2nd time has endeared himself to the Boston fans with his entertaining style. Boasting an undefeated professional record, Doheny also has an impressive amateur pedigree, having over 150 fights, winning 5 Irish Championships and beating IBF World Super Bantamweight Champion Carl Frampton. With a win at Monster Brawl Doheny hopes to secure a major Championship fight in the coming year.

In separate featured bouts Light Heavyweight prospect Charles “The Truth” Foster (11-0 6KOs) and Cruiserweight prospect Steve “The Wolf” Collins (9-0-1 4KOs) both look to keep there undefeated records in tact. The 25 year old Foster hailing from New Haven, Connecticut has an extensive amateur pedigree, having won the Connecticut State Championship 10 times, as well as being a 4 time CT Golden Glove winner and both the 2007 Ringside World Silver Medalist and National PAL Silver Medalist. Since turning pro in June of 2011, Foster has amassed an undefeated record in his first 11 fights while knocking half of his opponents out, inside of 2 rounds. Foster has been a busy fighter of late, racking up three wins in four months all coming by way of knockout. Steve Collins Jr. the son of The Celtic Warrior and former WBO Middleweight Champion Steve Collins will be fighting for the fifth time in seven months. Collins is coming off an absolute destruction of the previously undefeated Christiano Pedro with a sensational 2nd round KO this past Saturday.
