Dina Thorslund ready for ten hard rounds vs Oksana Romanova

“My form is really good and I’m looking forward to returning to the ring,” said Thorslund ahead of her super bantamweight contest.

‘’I have a lot of respect for my opponent, but it is also a fight I believe I should win. I will go out offensively, like I usually do, but I’m not necessarily looking for the knockout from the very first second.’’

The Struer-fighter, whose last outing in March ended with a first-minute knockout of her Georgian opponent Sopio Putkaradze, says she is prepared to go the distance in what will be her first ten-round fight.

‘’Oksana has a lot of experience and has only ever been stopped once,’’ she says. ‘’This might be my first time fighting more than six rounds, but I’ve trained to go ten hard rounds.

‘’Of course, it would look good to knock out an opponent who has only been stopped once, but I wouldn’t mind getting some rounds under my belt before I end the fight.’’

The 22-year-old will fight on the undercard of Dennis Ceylan’s European Featherweight title clash with British champion Ryan Walsh, alongside Danish talents Abdul Khattab, Rashid Kassem and professional debutant Mikkel Nielsen.

Tickets for the Nordic Fight Night at the Arena Nord on October 15 are available online via www.arenanord.dk or by calling (+45) 96201050. All the action will be shown live on Viaplay Fighting. For more information, please visit
