WBC Clean Boxing deadline passes, ranked boxers to be removed

WBC President, Mauricio Sulaiman stresses that all boxers including world champions and first 15 ranked fighters, who haven’t completed the registration forms to the WBC Clean Boxing Program will be removed from the WBC lists.

He outlined that the main goal of the program is to inform and bring awareness to the fighters regarding the risks of consuming enhancing drugs.

He further explained that all world champions and first 15 ranked fighters are eligible to undergo anti doping random tests at any time.

Mauricio also commented that the Clean Boxing Program, includes random tests without cost to the fighters, their representatives or any other person as the CBP will be in charge of all costs.

Mauricio advises Boxing doesn’t have a major problem with drugs. Yet the issue does exist and could develop as a threat unless unified, concerted and prompt action is taken.
