The Sundsvall fighter has spent two weeks in Poland as part of Glowacki’s training camp for the cruiserweight’s WBO World title defence against Oleksandr Usyk on September 17 in Gdansk.

‘’It’s been a great experience for me,’’ said Wallin, who returned to his Copenhagen training base last Saturday. ‘’I spent the first week in Warsaw, the capital, and the second at the Olympic training facilities in Walcz.

‘’You learn a lot from training and sparring with a World Champion like Glowacki. He is a very solid fighter, who really earned his World title last year with the way he won it against Marco Huck. He’s in a position that I dream of being in one day and I’ve got a lot of respect for him.’’

Wallin believes these tough sparring sessions will ensure he enters the ring in top condition as he attempts to move to 16-0 with a victory over Machimana.

‘’The sparring has really helped get me sharp for this fight. I feel in amazing shape. I’ve spent the last week in Denmark fine-tuning everything with my coach Joey Gamache, and now, I’m ready to showcase my skills.

‘’I would never take any opponent lightly, but Machimana is going to have to come up with something special to beat me. I couldn’t be more confident.’’

Wallin fights Machimana on the undercard of the Swedish super fight between Mikaela Laurén and Klara Svensson. Tickets are available online via www.globearenas.se and www.AXS.com or by calling 0771-31 00 00.
