Welterweight champion Kell Brook is looking in the best shape of his life just days away from what will be the Briton’s heftiest challenge.
The 30 year-old heads up two weight divisions to challenge feared Eastern European puncher Gennady Golovkin on Saturday night in London and has been through a meticulous training regime to be strong at the 160 pound limit.
Brook weighed 176 pounds with just a month to go at fight night and had half a stone to lose before Friday when weighing in for the WBC check weight last weekend.
Compared to his exploits at the 147 limit, ‘The Special One’ seems a totally different proposition despite being a huge underdog to overthrow Golovkin at the O2 Arena.
Presented by Matchroom Boxing and K2 Promotions, the middleweight world title clash will be televised on Sky Sports Box Office in the United Kingdom and Live on HBO World Championship Boxing® beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET/PT in the United States.
