Formertwo-timee Scottish Champion Gary Rae has followed in the footsteps of his brother and signs with St Andrew’s Sporting Club. Gary’s brother Steven has notched up two victories in his opening two bouts as a professional.
Super Bantamweight Rae will be trained by former undefeated professional Mark Breslin are being looked upon as the future of the St Andrew’s Sporting Club by figurehead Iain Wilson.
The younger of the Rae brothers is delighted with his link up with St Andrews Sporting Club and aims to better his amateur success in the professional ranks.

“I’m confident I can deliver as a pro. I’ve had a good amateur career with Mark Breslin at Barrhead ABC and I’m now excited to move forward.”

The younger of the Rae brothers enters the professional ranks after a successful stint at Barrhead ABC and follows elder brother Steven into the professional limelight. Gary Rae will now be trained by former undefeated pro Mark Breslin also a native of the Paisley/Barrhead area. Breslin who is in the process of obtaining his professional trainers license has all the qualities of making a top class professional trainer; having guided many amateur talents to success already. Breslin who is a teacher by day naturally requires the obvious skillset to be a good trainer and the former undefeated Light Welterweight has high hopes for his prodigy Gary Rae.

Gary Rae joins an ever growing stable of fighters within the St Andrew’s Sporting Club and manager Iain Wilson is delighted with his latest signing who is set to make his debut in the later months of this year.
