Lennox Clarke, Adam Harper and Zach Parker visited the Banks’s Stadium on Saturday ahead of their upcoming fights later this week.
The trio feature on Hatton Promotions, in association with Black Country Boxing, six-fight show at Walsall FC’s on Friday night.
Clarke, Harper and Parker watched The Saddlers’ entertaining 3-3 draw with Bury and were unveiled at half-time to promote ‘On The Rise’, which is sponsored by Grosvenor Casino Walsall.
“It was good to go on the pitch,” explained Clarke, who headlines the show. “I like fighting at the Banks’s Stadium. The Stadium Suite is a nice room and it generates a great atmosphere.
“I’ve been in camp since my last fight (in July) and am feeling good. “
“It was a good game,” added Harper, who is a lifelong supporter of Walsall’s near-neighbours Aston Villa. “Walsall were 3-0 up at half-time before being pegged back to 3-3 so it was good to see some goals. Hopefully, there will be a similar atmosphere and excitement for the boxing on Friday.”
“I was a little nervous but I enjoyed the experience,” concluded Parker. “I’m not that nervous getting in the ring!”
The trio all face Eastern European opposition this weekend. Clarke (12-0) faces Lithuanian, Vaidas Balciauskas, whilst Harper (5-0) steps in with Russian born Andrej Cepur. Swadlincote’s Parker (6-0), faces Latvian Raimonds Sniedze.
The card is completed by a trio of Ricky-Hatton trained prospects.
Nantwich’s Nathan Gorman (4-0) warms up for his Central Area Heavyweight Title showdown with David Howe in Stoke on 1st October with an eight round outing against Czech Republic’s Tomas Mrazek.
Market Harborough welterweight, Reuben Arrowsmith (6-0), is also in action as he takes on Poland’s Marcin Cybulski
Completing the card is Irish super middleweight, Chris Blaney (1-0). ‘The Ginja Ninja’ features at just one week’s notice following an injury to Kyle Williamns, who is now off the bill.
Standard tickets for On The Rise, priced at £30, are available by calling the boxers. £60 VIP tickets for tables of ten, with two-course meal, are available by calling Walsall FC Box Office on 01922 651 414/416.
