Roman Gonzalez has tunnel vision, fourth world crown in sight
At the Summit Gym in California, home of Abel Sánchez the trainer of Gennady Golovkin, doors were opened wide to all the media so they could glimpse Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez hard at work.
Roman, who’s WBC flyweight champion, will challenge the WBC super flyweight champion, Carlos Cuadras, on September 10th at the Inglewood Forum.
The pound for pound star was in a focused mood when talking about his upcoming fight.
“I feel motivated. I will turn two months training here, soon. All the work has been worth the benefits,” said Gonzalez.
Regarding his rival, he ruefully reflected: “Carlos is my friend, and we have known each other for a long time. We have different personalities.
“I prefer to prove things inside the ring but I want to tell him I will give my very best. Winning a fourth world crown will be just great for my country, my family, and all the people who believe in me.
“I believe we will get the triumph on September 10th,” he added.
