Michael Conlan highly critical of Joe Joyce judging decision

The Irishman, who was dumped out of the competition at the quarter-final stage despite seemingly doing enough, scratched his head after watching Joyce lose out to Tony Yoka in Rio.

Despite throwing triple and landing double the punches Yoka did, according to the always reliable CompuBox, Joyce wasn’t given a single round by the Turkish official and had to settle for silver.

Conlan was the most vocal athlete against the current judging system used by the AIBA at the Rio Games and accused the organisation of corruption in an exclusive interview with WBN on Friday.
