Greenock native Sam Ball will also be taking a step up in class as he looks to forge a path to titles at the quickest possible route starting on September 29th on the historic St Andrews Sporting Club show at the fabulous Radisson Hotel in Glasgow.
The bill which features Dundee’s Mike Towell take on Dale Evans in a final eliminator to face Bradley Skeete for the British Welterweight title will be another big night for the Greenock upstart. The talented Welterweight was last seen producing an excellent third round knockout of previously undefeated Englishmen George Hennon on the undercard of Ricky Burns’ emphatic World title victory at the SSE Hydro last May and now looks to continue his ever growing momentum on September 29th.
“It was brilliant fighting on the undercard of Ricky Burns at the Hydro Arena. It really gave me the hunger and drive to win titles and I know that I will have a lot of eyes on me on September 29th so I know I have to produce my best.”
“Fighting on shows on Sky Sports in front of thousands of people in big arena’s at the nights you live for and I know I need to keep putting the work in in the gym and winning to make those a regular occurrence.”
Greenock’s Ball was an excellent amateur, representing Scotland Internationally and winning numerous titles and is now setting his sights on emulating and bettering his amateur success in the professional ranks.
“I had a very good amateur career and I’m enjoying life as a professional. I’m looking at the quickest route to pick up titles and I’m one hundred percent confident that my management team can produce the right fights at the right time for me.”
“I know I have to be at my best on September 29th to be in line to fight for titles and I have been working hard in the gym and improving as I want titles next.”
