Freddy Kiwitt closes in on Anthony Hardy clash in September
25 year old Freddy Kiwitt returns to the UK on 24th September when (subject to board approval) he faces Anthony Hardy (8-2) in an eliminator for the English Super-Lightweight title. This will take place on the Josh Goodwin promoted “FOR HONOUR AND PRIDE” show at York Hall, Bethnal Green.
Kiwitt is part of the very successful SW gym headed by Michael Amoo-Bediako who’s Richard Commey has a massive title opportunity for the IBF World title against Robert Easter in September in the US.
Amoo-Bediako works solely alongside the Goodwin promotional team in the UK and like Commey (who was promoted by Goodwin in the UK), Amoo expects Kiwitt to eventually move on to world honours.
Kiwitt’s unbeaten in 10 (with 5 stoppages) has had his last three contests in Germany but returns the UK shores to build up his credentials for titles on these shores.
Hardy recently contested for the English strap when he lose a close contest with Joe Hughes (majority decision) and is looking for a way back into the title mix.
Amoo-Bediako said “We work with the Goodwin’s in the UK. They deliver for my fighters and have always done so. We have a close relationship and this will definitely help Freddy’s career.
