The Sundsvall southpaw returns to the Hovet following the third-round technical knockout of Brazilian boxer Irineu Beato Costa Junior in April. His fight is the first confirmed for the undercard of the blockbuster clash between domestic rivals Mikaela Lauren and Klara Svensson.

‘’I’m looking forward to fighting at the Hovet again,’’ said Wallin. ‘’It was a great experience last time, and I think this time, it will be even better. It’s going to be a huge show, everyone is looking forward to seeing the fight between Klara and Mikaela, and I’m excited to be a part of it.

‘’I’m expecting a tough fight. Machimana is a strong opponent. He has a lot of experience and is the current South African Heavyweight Champion. It will be another step up for me, but I believe I’m ready for the challenge.

‘’I’ve been training non-stop since my last fight and I’m really happy with the work I’ve been doing with my coach Joey Gamache. We are working on new things everyday and I can really feel myself improving.’’

Alongside his training with Gamache, the 25 year-old will also spend two weeks in Poland sparring WBO World Cruiserweight Champion Krzysztof Glowacki.

‘’It’s important to get top level sparring like this,’’ he says. ‘’Before my last fight, I went to England to spar Anthony Joshua, and now, I will go to Poland to spar another World Champion.’’
