Gennady Golovkin and Kell Brook went face-to-face on Thursday for the first time since their quickly arranged fight was made.
‘GGG’ was initially due to battle British middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. until contracts stalled and Brook swooped in to take the fight for himself.
Brook, a current welterweight title holder, is always known to have been tight at the weight and should really have been a super-welterweight for a least the past year.
Given the fact that Golovkin has also made it no secret that he could still make anywhere between 154 and 168 – even at this late stage of his career, there wasn’t much to choose between the boxers in New York.
