Guillermo Jones, Amir Imam, Trevor Bryan win in Pittsburgh

The 44 year-old made it two wins from two at the higher limit and nine wins in a row since his last defeat to Steve ‘USS’ Cunningham way back in 2005.

Time is fast running out though for ‘Feliciano’ to make an impact in the division, given his age, and a big leap up in class will be needed in the future for Jones to prove he has what it takes to mix it with the best the top weight class has to offer.

Also on the bill, super-lightweight Amir Imam recovered from his first career defeat to Adrian Granados last November by halting Wilfredo Acuna in three rounds at the Pittsburgh, PA venue.

Imam, 25, put pressure on Acuna from the off and eventually wore the Nicaraguan down until the 24 year-old was forced to take a knee in the third. The referee then stepped in to save Acuna from further punishment.

American Imam moves to 19-1 with the triumph.

Finally, compatriot Trevor Bryan kept his undefeated heavyweight run intact with a points win over veteran journeyman Galen Brown.

Bryan, 26, can now boast a 17-0 C.V following his first victory of 2016.
