Whyte, 28, succumbed to Joshua’s power when the pair met in December but is chasing a rematch after his rival won the world title in April.
Fighting on Joshua’s undercard would suggest Whyte is in consideration for ‘AJ’ in the future and 39 year-old Batchelder shouldn’t pose too much of a threat to the Brixton man’s hopes.
Batchelder has been defeated in his last two fights and has 11 reverses on his record, six of which have come by way of knockout.
