Dulorme meets with President Rajoy prior to Spanish outing

“Was a great honor to receive the support of Mr.Rajoy, he said that he is a huge sports fan and is very glad because an international boxer it´s training in his country”, says Dulorme.

Thomas Dulorme will return to the ring this Saturday in Albacete, Spain after his defeat against Terence Crawford last year. The Puerto-Rican will fight Mexican Jesús “El Pantera” Gurrola, in an eight round bout in the welterweight division.

Dulorme, who is currently training in Spain, wants to reboot his career at welterweight, looking for a new world championship opportunity.

“I will return to USA in the next months, now I’m a free-agent after finish my relationship with Gary Shaw. I did a great preparation in Spain, but here boxing isn´t very popular. At welterweight I feel more comfortable, after some fight I will go for a world title match. With Crawford I had a lot of issues, if he wants we can make a rematch at welterweight”, tells Dulorme.

“Spain has very talented boxers like Rubén Nieto, but they don´t have the opportunities. They train hard but the Spanish federation don´t allow boxers to debut until they are grown-ups. I will like to emulate Sergio Martínez, who trained here and become world champion. People will enjoy my fight in Albacete, I ‘m well prepared and a Puerto Rico versus Mexico is always a great matchup” says Dulorme before return to the ring.
