Without question, Muhammad Ali was a pivotal figure of the 20th century. His boxing talent and accomplishments along with his super-sized personality and self-promotion that propelled him into the consciousness of America and onto the world stage. But was his activist role outside the ring that brought focus to race relations, religion and America’s military involvement in Viet Nam that elevated him to a groundbreaking platform.
Muhammad Ali died at the age of 74 on June 3, 2016. He was buried in his hometown of Louisville, KY.
