Tony Bellew seems to have the psychological upper hand heading into the biggest night of his life on Sunday night.
The 33 year-old is preparing to face big-hitting Ilunga Makabu for the vacant WBC cruiserweight title and is in top shape for the task.
Both fighters made the 200 pound limit at Saturday’s scaling, although Makabu was visibly more ripped than his UK rival. As the pair went head-to-head though, it was Makabu who turned first as Bellew pierced through the Congan with his menacing glare.
Bellew v Makabu takes place at Everton FC’s Goodison Park stadium and features a whole host of top Merseyside talent.
