Tyson Fury: I play mind games, I’ve been fooling you all!

The 27-year-old had initially told a tale of being ‘bladdered’ by a light-heavyweight in camp after sporting a black eye in a social media post.

Fury has now backtracked on the training story amidst rumors that uncle Peter walked out of their preparations to face Wladimir Klitschko on July 9.

“OK, guys, I’ve been fooling you all. There weren’t any knockdowns in the gym. As if it’s possible for me to get chinned!

“I’ve lost over 10kg, feeling great and never been so on [course] for a fight with two months left to go. Stripping the weight nicely but keeping the muscle, all going well. I play mind games,” said Fury.

Peter has since reaffirmed that Fury had been joking on both counts all along as the team move into the next phase of weight loss and strength work ahead of the eagerly-awaited Klitschko rematch.

In contrast to Fury, Klitschko, 40, has been relatively quiet. He’s focused on regaining his old-world title belts when the Ukrainian returns to the UK for the first time in 16 years.

‘Dr. Steelhammer’ lost out on points when struggling to work out Fury’s style in November and remains an underdog with the bookies to take back his former status.
